MYTHS & FACTS ABOUT DANCING

What makes Arthur Murray the best?

At Arthur Murray we provide all the elements you need to become a great dancer. We know that the only way to improve and retain dance skills is through 3 formats:

Dance Class

Group Classes

Group Classes teach you basic step patterns. They may reinforce what you already know, and/or introduce you to new steps and dance styles.

However, Group Classes only go so far and need to be used in conjunction with PRIVATE CLASSES and PRACTICE SESSIONS.

Private Classes

Private Classes are the place where you are coached by a certified professional who is dedicated to helping you become your best dancer. Here you get one-on-one instruction catered to your interests, style, and level. This is the place where you are given exclusive attention by an Arthur Murray pro.

Practice Sessions

Practice Sessions are the place where you get to test the skills you have been learing in your Private and Group Classes. Our practice sessions are fun, lively, and social. You test your steps with your teachers and fellow students alike, getting to try all the Rhythm and Smooth dance styles you desire in a family friendly environment.

We have a curriculum that has stood the test of time.

We separate Dance Myths from Dance Facts.

MYTH #1:

I can learn to dance well in group classes and it will be cheaper.

FACT #1:

Group classes are great for certain things (learning patterns, meeting people, exercise, fun) and are an important part of our Arthur Murray 4-way Teaching Method (Privates, Groups, Practices and Events). In fact, we include unlimited group classes at our school at no charge for our active students. However, group classes fall short in several other important ways:
